Merry Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas at home in Kimberly Idaho. The kids were excited to give gifts to each other and were especially excited to see what Santa had left for them. Kloe found a princess castle and Josh an electronic drum set and Nerf guns. We enjoyed spending time together this year and participated in our traditional activities including a trip up the canyon to see the lights, watching our nativity movie and of course going to Utah to see our families and spend time with them at our holiday parties.

Thanksgiving and Tree Hunt!

This year for Thanksgiving, we went to Idaho Falls and stayed with Clint and Holly and their family. We had a great time and ate TONS of awesome food. We braved the Freezing cold weather to go hit the black friday sales, played games, and enjoyed being together. After we came home, our little family went up the canyon for our annual collins family christmas tree hunt. There was so much snow this year! we had more fun sliding down the hill than hiking in the knee deep powder. But we were rewarded for our effort, we found a beautiful tree! After, we warmed up with a hot cup of cocoa. We love this tradition!

Happy Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween 2010! We had a fun time with the kids enjoying the Kimberly festivities, beginning with the carnival and then followed by the parade and then trick-or-treating. It was a fun year and the kids loved dressing up like their favorite Star Wars Characters! May the Force be with you!

Family night!

We went up to the picnic area at rock creek canyon for a fun family night with our friends John and Valerie Cronin. We had a fun time grilling hamburgers and making smores. Kloe especially loved singing songs with Valerie around the campfire. John and Curt waded out into the stream and enjoyed a little fishing. While Valerie and I watched the kids throwing rocks into the water. It was a really fun family night for all.

Anderson Ranch

We went on a fun camping weekend with our friends the Cartwrights and Wills. It was beautiful camping on the beach right down by the lake. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the water and Curt had a great time fishing. It was a really fun weekend with really great friends.

New York!

We had such a great time in Hawaii, we could not wait to take another trip with the parents! This time we headed across the country to New York to participate in the Ocean to Sound Relay. The race was a 60 mile relay to help raise money for cancer research. Each member of the team ran one leg that was 6-7 miles long. I ran leg number 2 and curt ran leg number 5. We had a really fun time while staying in New York. We stayed with the Branca's who are friends of my Mom's and I am happy to say they are now friends of ours. They were such fun and nice people and made the trip really enjoyable. In addition to the race, we were also able to go into New York City and also saw the Mets play a baseball game. It was a really fun trip, a great race and a really good cause.

Lagoon 2010

This year Kloe got to come with us to lagoon. We also picked up and brought Josh and Kloe's cousin Carli. Kloe was not too fond of the rides, but loved playing in the water at Lagoon-a-Beach! After spending time at the water park, Curt took Kloe to meet Grandma Sue, where she spent the rest of the afternoon and evening having girl time with Grandma. Jason, Steph and the Kids came and joined us that evening we all played until the park closed. Joshua got brave and went on Colossus! He was ready to try Wicked but got in line just as the ride closed for the night. Bummer, he will have to wait until next year! It was a really fun day, we all had a great time.
