HALLOWEEN 2011

Halloween once again and for the Collins family it means we get to spend the day as Tinker Bell and her band of Pirates! AAARG! we had so much fun this year. We went to the Harvest party at our church and the kids got to play a mouse trap game, a gold fish race game, and a cupcake walk! They even jumped in a bounce house. The best part was that in Arizona the weather is PERFECT on Halloween. It was a beautiful 75 degree evening so the kids (and mom and dad) could rock our costumes without coats! Later we took the kids to visit Aunt Joan and Arvin and went door to door trick-or-treating in her neighborhood. It was a happy and fun day!

Josh the Scout

Joshua was so excited to turn 8 because he could be baptized and because it meant he could also become a scout. Josh was so excited the first day of scouts, he put his shirt on 4 hours early. He asked me every 10 minutes if it was time to go. When I picked Josh up from scouts that first day, he said he wished that he could stay at scouts forever! So glad he loves it. proud of our big boy.

New House

Finding a renter for our house in Idaho means we needed to find a place to rent in Arizona. We were lucky to find a nice little house for our family to rent. We found the house online the Monday it was listed. We had an appointment to see it on Tuesday, our Application in on Wednesday and the keys on Thursday! We were the only family to see the house. The realtor was amazed that we even found the listing because we called on it minutes after he posted it! We love our little rental house and the kids are very excited too. Kloe has a cute pink and purple bedroom and Joshua's baseball room is blue. Welcome home to ARIZONA.

Living in Arizona again means fun in the sun. We had a great time visiting Rancho Vistoso in Tuscon. The kids especially loved swimming in the pool. Rainie had a great time relaxing with her book, and the best part for all was spending time together. We also took the kids to a fun amusement park in Phoenix. they had so much fun riding all the little rides. Josh loved the roller coaster and the bumper boats. Kloe liked the carousel and the airplanes best. Super fun day.

Happy 8th Birthday Joshua!

We celebrated Joshua turning 8 today. He had a fun birthday party with several of his friends. We all went to the theater to see the new Cars 2 movie and then came back to the house for presents, cake and ice cream. Curt and I made Josh a darling Lightning McQueen cake. It was our first attempt at a 3D cake but we thought it turned out pretty good. Joshua loved it and it tasted yummy too! The kids all went home with Mater teeth lollipops. It was a super fun day and a special occasion for our big boy!

Happy Easter 2011

Our family had a very happy Easter. The kids were excited to find their easter baskets, followed by our eggs a-la-golden rod breakfast and Stake Conference.

Happy 3rd Birthday Princess Kloe!

Kloe had a really fun 3rd birthday. Kloe woke up the morning of her birthday to find that we had turned our house into a princess dream of pink and yellow. She had her traditional ableskiever breakfast, then that evening had a birthday party that included pink princess crowns for all to decorate, kiss the frog and a princess cake. Happy Birthday to our little girl!
