Josh and Kloe meet the Big Man!

Our little city of Kimberly hosted an event to raise money for our local library. It was called Breakfast with santa. It was held at a local restaurant and the kids got to eat breakfast and visit with santa during the meal. Josh was thrilled to sit on santa's lap, although he froze up and couldn't remember what he wanted for christmas... He ended up telling santa to bring him a toy that he already has! Joshua did however try to get on santa's good side by drawing a picture on his placemat and giving it to him. This was Kloe's first experience with the man in red. At first she was not sure what to think, then she decided that maybe he was not so cool. Wait until he brings her presents... she might just have a change of heart.

Kloe

Kloe is pulling up on everything now. She is also crusing along the furniture. I took these pictures the other day because I wanted to get some shots of her standing. She also has the cutest curls in her hair when it is wet. I tried to use some product that day to see if the curls would hold.. No luck, she had straight hair as soon as it dried. I did manage to kind of capture those darling locks while the curls lasted. Maybe she'll grow up with the best of both worlds, hair that she doesn't have to work to straighten but that actually has some body. Hmmm I wonder what that would be like?

Happy Turkey Day 2008!

It was different for us not being with our families on Thanksgiving this year. But we had a wonderful day at home. We were joined by two other families. The kids made and wore these silly hats that looked like turkey drumsticks. We had an amazing meal, watched a movie together and finished up with PIE PIE and more PIE! We have much to be Thankful for...

TWILGHT GIRLS!

Opening night at the twilight movie complete with dinner and t-shirts! who would have thought that vampires could be so much fun? Bite me please!

Invisible ink? I think not!

So a few years ago, we got Joshua these cool markers that only write on special paper. The idea is that the ink is invisible on other surfaces, walls, clothes, skin... Great idea we thought. Well it turns out that the addition of saliva to the "invisible" ink renders said ink no longer invisible but a lovely blue color. We first realized this when Josh came to show us his latest artwork wearing "blue lipstick" he had no idea what we thought was so funny! Needless to say it was not a sad day when the markers dried up, got lost, and were put into the trash.

A few days ago, Josh was looking through some of his old artwork and came across one of the drawings he had done with the invisible ink. He must have left the artwork on the floor for his baby sister to find. And she must have thought that the artwork looked yummy, because even three years later, the addition of saliva to invisible ink still turns little lips blue! I just love those markers!

Halloween

Our Cute Kids on Halloween....Joshua loved his spider costume and Kloe was such a darling little pumkin. Our city had a fun event for the kids. They started at 4:00 with carnival games. Then all of the kids paraded in their costumes to the city park where they had hot dogs and goodie bags for each of them. All of the local businesses were there in cars so the kids could trunk or treat. We finished at about 6:30 just as it started to rain. The kids had a great time.
Happy Halloween!

Fall

Our cute kids playing in the leaves. We are enjoying fall. We went to the pumpkin patch and then took a weekend vacation to McCall Idaho. It was beautiful and a fun time with friends.

Our baby girl sure does love her big brother.
