Invisible ink? I think not!

So a few years ago, we got Joshua these cool markers that only write on special paper. The idea is that the ink is invisible on other surfaces, walls, clothes, skin... Great idea we thought. Well it turns out that the addition of saliva to the "invisible" ink renders said ink no longer invisible but a lovely blue color. We first realized this when Josh came to show us his latest artwork wearing "blue lipstick" he had no idea what we thought was so funny! Needless to say it was not a sad day when the markers dried up, got lost, and were put into the trash.

A few days ago, Josh was looking through some of his old artwork and came across one of the drawings he had done with the invisible ink. He must have left the artwork on the floor for his baby sister to find. And she must have thought that the artwork looked yummy, because even three years later, the addition of saliva to invisible ink still turns little lips blue! I just love those markers!
